Troubleshooting

Check the simplest explanation before changing permissions.

A command is missing

Check whether it is actually released. The command proposals and ER:LC features in this handbook are not available yet. For a released command, check that the correct application is installed and that Discord command permissions allow your role and channel to use it.

An action is denied

Review the acting member's access, the bot's permissions, channel overrides and any relevant role positions. Test in a private channel. Avoid granting Administrator as a blanket workaround; identify the specific permission or feature rule that blocked the action.

Game information is unavailable

Until the integration ships, this is expected. After release, check the configured server and the connection status first. If a key has changed, an authorized owner should update it using the supported private setup flow. Do not send the key to support.

An action timed out

Check whether the action already happened before repeating it. A missing response does not always mean nothing changed. Note the time, server, command and visible outcome; include these details in your report.

A useful bug report

Describe the steps, what you expected and what happened instead. Include the exact error text and a redacted screenshot if helpful. Mention whether the problem affects one member, one channel or the entire server. See FAQ & contact for a copyable report template.
